    I’m completely lost when it comes to Lost. I decided to just sit back and let them tell me the story rather than trying to figure it out. What bugs me, though, is all the dropped pieces. Actually, I was going to blog about that and forgot! Now I remember, so that will post tomorrow, for sure. So, I can’t say it here because that would spoil my post. I just hope I don’t feel all unfulfilled by the ending.

    @Renee, Hey Renee- I’m actually not upset with Lost at all- I have loved seeing them slowly weave plots together, and make sense of earlier scenes! I am just dying to know what the whole “point” of lost is going to be! Is it purgatory, are Jacob and the man in black good an evil? Is it really a chess match?

    So many possibilities!

    @Milk & Cuddles,
    Hopefully, when I see the ending, I won’t be angry anymore. It’s all going to depend on how they end it.

    I’m pretty certain Jacob and the man in black are good and evil personified, but we’ll see. That’s the one thing they HAVE TO answer!

    Loved this post! I read an article somewhere that the LOST writers are going to leave a bunch of unanswered little questions, which upset me a lot!! I think they of course have to answer the big ones but, so far it seems things are kind of wrapping up well. I have no idea what to think.
    I don’t like the chess game theory either. I can’t wait to see how it ends but, I don’t want it to end either! Happy watching tonight.

    Cute vlog, Shannon.

    LOST has me completely, well… lost. I’ve said for some time that the final scene will be Jack and Locke (Jack as the new Jacob and Locke aka: the Man in Black) sitting on the beach. Locke will turn to Jack and say, “Do you know how badly I want to kill you?” Of course I’m talking nonsense, right? Right?

    If I were to guess I’d say the MiB and Jacob were neither good or evil to begin with… and in fact were both human originally. I believe it’s possible that the blond Jacob was originally the dark haired guy, and then took the blond’s body somehow… probably after he died or was killed. Thus the MiB is in Jacob’s body (he can impersonate dead people). Okay, that sounds insane even to me.

    Let’s skip that bit. Apparently bad things will happen if we uncork the bottle that is the island and the MiB (unLocke) leaves. I think in order to prevent the MiB from escaping the island, Jack (or maybe Kate?) and whatever remaining living losties (if there are any by the show’s end) will sink the island and trap the MiB for good. No, that’s not right. Hmmm.

    What if the metaphorical box Ben tells Locke about is really what the side-step is all about, “What if I told you that, somewhere on this island, there is a very large box and whatever you imagined, whatever you wanted to be in it when you opened that box, there it would be?” Kinda sounds like the looking glass (rabbit hole?) through which they passed.

    Clearly the veil between the sidestep and the island “realities” is getting thinner, and it appears some of them at least are beginning to “wake up” more and more. Waking up may be a much more important theme than we think. Just look at our electromagnetic Buddha, Desmond. Even Jack is spouting some rather zen like lines to Locke in his sidestep.

    Yes, I know, I’m probably spouting more nonsense, but it’s it fun to speculate. Mostly I’m just along for the ride at this point. And like everyone I just hope they’ve got a really, really, really good ending planned. If it turns out it was all a dream and JR wasn’t shot… er… wrong show.

    Oh, and as a parent how do you feel about Jin’s choice to stay and die with his wife, thus making the child he hasn’t yet met an orphan? Romantic on one hand, sure, but if Sun was going to die no matter what, might it have made more sense to go take care of his child?

    But wait. “Kwan” was one of the names on the cave wall. But with Jin and Sun both dead, then it must not have been them. Ah, but could it be their child??? For that matter what if Aaron (squirrel-mommy Claire’s son) and are the Islands “Adam and Eve”?

    I’m stopping before my head explodes. I’m guessing we’re going to find out much more about the MiB and Jacob on this episode, which should help illuminate a bit more of the island’s mythology. Can’t wait. Great post.

    @A Daddy Blog, I was pretty annoyed with the Sun/Jin thing. Neither of them mentioned their child. I was waiting and waiting for Sun to say, “One of us has to live to take care of our daughter.”

    And she never did!

    @Renee, yeah I know. That would have been the right thing to do and just as moving. The show has a common theme of absent and/or truly bad fathers. It’s sad that in a way Jin has now chosen to make himself one of them Oh, well.

    As for last night… it was interesting, but I haven’t worked out what that cave is and what it did the the man in black. She said the light is in every man and every man wants more of it. Hmmm. What is it, God? A metaphor?

    I’m just going to sit back and enjoy the ride.

    Great post Shannon! I’m with you & ADaddy though….LOST has continued to keep me, well…Lost!

    I ponder whether it is a parallel between heaven, hell & purgatory. Whether the parallel (side-ways) view is a glimpse of what they are shown of how their life was or could have been had they not crashed and died on the island.

    There is the thought that maybe the questionable characters, per say (such as Lock) are acting as a portal per say, the direction that the survivors (are they really?) take, will determine their final destination; ie. heaven/hell?

    I honestly do know know…I continue to remain lost yet enthralled with LOST and I surely hope that the ending will leave us with more answers than questions.

    Work has the video blocked. Darn! I have watched LOST from day 1. I’m sure it will be a crazy disappointing ending like most shows that end, but man what a ride!
    I’m trying to figure out why the “mom” favored the other boy when she knew Jacob was the most honest of the two? Hmmmm. What is fun is reading all the different theories on the web.
    I am SAD it is ending and tried to replace it watching Flashforward but I heard that was going to be cancelled. :-(

    @Nikki- I like V a lot! Great show!

    I love lost! Im really enjoying these final episodes. I love how they are tying all the stories together. I am still a little lost,haha. Like I am still wondering if Jack has a son back home, or is that in a parrallel universe? That one is really bugging me! I really want to see how what Desmonds ultimate purpose is. Oh and if they kill anymore of my people off I’m gonna need counseling, lolol. Son, Jin, and Sayid in one night was way too much for me. So glad I stopped by from the Mommy Loop. Im now a follower.
