Yay, it’s almost summertime! And that means millions of families are going to be traveling – and for many that means motion sickness and nausea. Boo!!!
Well just in time for those family road trips, comes this awesome giveaway! I’ll be honest- I’m totally bummed I can’t enter it myself – but the next best thing is hosting it!
The people at Psi Bands (pronounced “Sigh Bands”) are offering: (1) one lucky Milk and Cuddles reader their very own set of Psi bands, along with a $30 dollar iTunes Gift Certificate!
Psi Bands are drug-free wrist bands for the relief of nausea most commonly caused by morning sickness (pregnancy), motion sickness/travel, chemotherapy, and anesthesia. And as you can see…they are also super cute!
Created by two moms that suffered from nausea, Psi Bands have been featured in O- The Oprah Magazine, Everyday with Rachael Ray, Martha Stewart’s Body+Soul Magazine, on QVC and more!

My first song recommendation concerns my most favourite seriously awesomely cool bands of all time – RUSH! They are embarking on a tour this summer to honor the anniversary of the release of ‘Moving Pictures.’ My recommendation is ‘Tom Sawyer,’ their first really big hit single for those who are mostly casual fans. That awesome guitar riff from Alex; Geddy’s vocals, his keyboards and that pounding bass line; Neil’s extraordinary drumming…How in the world could you go wrong? [Of course, please feel free to substiute for either one of their NEW songs – ‘Caravans’ or ‘BU2B’.

Song recommendation #2 would be Boston’s ‘More Than a Feeling.’ Dudes and dudettes, that song just takes me back to being a preteen and thinking I was ‘Miss Thang!’…LOL!
That whole album was so cool, even on 8-track [LOLOL! Yeah, I guess I am showing my age just a bit...LOL! I do own the CD, though.] That song justs screams ‘SUMMER!’ to me…my dream car was the Camaro/Firebird/TransAm with t-tops. Siiiggghhhh…the memories!

Okay, last song recommendation is Bananarama’s ‘Cruel Summer.’ This brings back summers in the 1980s and hanging out with my friends at the pool or one of our houses and watching hours of MTV…LOL! I also think back on what passed for fashion in those years…NOT! Neon colors, messy hair with rags for headbands, lots of bangle bracelets, ballet flats/granny boots, superlong sweaters (preferably leaving one shoulder bare) worn over leggings, really dark eye makeup and bright lipstick…yeah, those were the days…LOL!

Must have song #1 – You & Me by Dave Matthews Band

Must have Song # 2… this may be our first dance for our wedding in September! Brighter then Sunshine by Aqualung… Love, love, love this song… Texas weather can be crazy… but this song will always make you smile like a good sunny day (with out the 104 degree temp)
