So it’s no surprise to you if you’re reading this- that I like to write blogs. But did you also know that I just LOVE reading other peoples blogs as well?
And one of my favorite things to find on someones blog is a good recipe! The other day I stumbled on a recipe for Cake Batter flavored Chocolate Bark! My jaw hit the floor! That sounded too crazy and awesome to pass up! I found this great idea over at howsweeteats.com. She has some other great treat recipes as well- so I urge you to check her blog out!
That said- I have taken a few pictures of “my attempt” at her recipe for Cake Batter Chocolate Bark making!
~Chocolate Bark- Cake Batter Flavored~
- 6 ounces good dark chocolate (I used Chirardelli 60%)
- 12 ounces good white chocolate (I used Ghirardelli Classic White)
- 1 teaspoon yellow cake mix ( I used Pillsbury)
- sprinkles optional
Melt dark chocolate either in the microwave or a double boiler ( I used microwave on half power). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and pour chocolate on. You can smooth it with a spatula to the thickness you desire.
Step 2- Stick it in the freezer for 20 minutes. Please don’t mind my frozen veggies in there too!
Step 3- Melt white chocolate. *The Awesome Part*-Whisk in box cake mix, stirring well until no lumps remain. Let it set .
Step 4- Remove baking sheet with chocolate from the freezer and immediately pour white chocolate on top. I almost took too long with that step and the dark chocolate started to melt. So be quick! Sprinkle on sprinkles. Freeze for 20 minutes.
Once set, break into chunks. Keep refrigerated.
