A Galleria Dallas Christmas: Holidays in DFW

General, To Do in DFW — By on December 11, 2011 at 7:43 pm

This past weekend my family and I were swept up in a colorful storm of glitter, lights and holiday magic at Galleria Dallas! We’ve been trying to do something festive and holiday related each weekend leading up to Christmas this year, and when we heard all of the different shows and activities Galleria Dallas had going on it was an obvious one to check out! We are really glad we did!

I took some pictures and video, and if you live in the DFW area perhaps it will help you decide if Galleria Dallas might be a place your family might want to check this holiday season!

-My daughter in her cars seat ready to go! She was looking forward to meeting Santa!

-TIP One thing that I really liked about Galleria Dallas is that they offer valet parking. Holiday crowds can get really overwhelming at malls before Christmas, and I think it is well worth the $7.00 dollar charge to just pull up in front of the mall and be able to get out and go right in! No looking for spots, no schlepping strollers and kids through crowded parking garages.

-Slappy’s Holiday Circus was adorable, and pumpkin was fully enthralled by all the acts especially the clowns! This is a free Activity!

-Although the trip was mainly for my 3 year old, my hubby and I found lots of stuff that was interesting to us too. And the mall is decorated really beautifully and romantically:)

-They have a really sweet area where you child can meet Santa and get pictures taken.

-There is Ice Skating and a beautiful GIGANTIC Christmas tree. And they have a ceremonial tree lighting each weekend before Christmas where  back flipping Santa Clause ice skates, and the tree gets fireworks! So fun- and also free!

Here is a short video of the Super fun Ice Skating show!

-Looking for a bite to eat at Galleria Dallas? I highly recommend Grand Lux. They make a great mojito..

-And their Seared Tuna Salad is to die for! Plus they are a little swanky- yet totally kid friendly!

You can find more information and the  Galleria Dallas 2011 Holiday Schedule here, as well as information on what stores and events are happening there!

I really enjoyed it!

I was given a VIP card from Galleria Dallas, however all opinions in this post are my own as always. The Tuna Salad and mojito I bought myself…and they were worth every darn penny;)
