Meatballs with Grape Jelly
General, Recipes, Video Blogs — By Shannon Schmid on January 7, 2013 at 1:40 pmMeatballs with Grape Jelly is a recipe I’ve heard rumors about in my family for a while, but the ingredients are so easy and odd, that I was afraid to try it until now. Well, the joke was on me because Meatballs in Grape Jelly are DEELISH! And not only are they super tasty – but they are one of the most simple dishes you can make for a potluck or pass the dish shindig.
Here is how you make them…
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 Bag of your favorite frozen meatballs
- 1 1/2 (12oz) bottles of bottled chile Sauce
- 1 (10 oz) jar of Grape Jelly (Apple Jelly is an okay replacement)
DIRECTIONS:
Combine Grape jelly and Chile sauce in your crockpot (I used a liner in my crockpot for faster cleanup!). Mix it well, and then add your frozen meatballs. Stir to coat them, and replace crockpot lid. Set your crockpot on high for 4-6 hours. Serve using toothpicks.

I have trouble not wanting to eat the whole pot.

You can also substitute a can of cranberries for the grape jelly. Both my kids cannot get enough of these!

Are they spicy (even a little) from the chile sauce?

@Sammi, Even a little? Hmmmn, very very… very little. The jelly really counteracts the spice of the chile, but there is a very small amount of spice:)
